Our story begins in Uji, Japan. A region at the heart of Japan’s centuries-old matcha tradition. For over eight centuries, the hills of Uji, Kyoto have been home to some of Japan’s most celebrated tea. In Ujitawara, small family farms have passed the craft of tea growing through generations, with some families tending their fields for six and seven generations.
It is here that our matcha begins. We work closely with our partners to select small-batch teas for their distinct flavor, character, and balance. Whether enjoyed as a single cultivar or thoughtfully blended.
Stone-ground in small quantities and nitrogen-sealed for freshness, each batch makes its journey from Uji to your cup while preserving the vibrant color, aroma, and taste that make it exceptional. Uji is where our matcha begins. It is the birthplace of Yuyi Matcha.
